Warriors skate to back-to-back wins

Published in the Echoes-Sentinel - February 12, 2004

Watchung Hills skated to back-to-back wins over Livingston and Verona in New Jersey Interscholastic Hockey League games played February 6 and 7. The two victories upped the Warriors overall record to 12-6.
Looking ahead, the Warriors should be the third-seeded entry in the Central Division - Blue Division as they currently sport a 7-4 divisional mark.
On Saturday, Elie Klein sparked the Warriors to a 5-1 triumph over Verona at Twin Oaks in Morristown. The freshman left wing netted a goal and distributed three assists as the Warriors iced the decision with three unanswered goals in the third period.
Chris Cheshire chipped in with a goal and an assist while Alex Radmin, Revels and Whalen netted solo goals. Gunther and Whalen picked up assists while sophomore goalie Bobby Rousch came up with 29 saves between the pipes.
On Friday at South Mountain Arena in West Orange, Rousch turned aside 23 shots on goal to record his second shutout of the season. It was only the second shutout in the history of the two-year old Watchung Hills program.
Cheshire turned in a hat trick performance to power the attack. He netted three goals and dished off two assists while Radmin contributed two goals and two assists. Revels and Whalen added solo goals with Whalen picking up three assists. Klein and Massa dished off two assists apiece with Revels adding a solo assist.
